Liquidity Premiums under Solvency II - Andrew Smith Date: Tuesday 15 June Location: tbc Time: 17.30 refreshments for 18.00 start Why attend? Andrew Smith shows seven ways to estimate liquidity premiums on assets and explains how portfolio optimisation can trade the rewards for holding illiquid assets against possible losses on forced sale. As a rule, market-consistency denies any credit for asset risk premiums on the value of liabilities, but Andrew will show some arguments for considering the illiquidity risk premium to be an exception. He shows the effect of current CFOCRO forum illiquidity premium proposals on the stated value of liabilities and highlights the dramatic consequences for asset allocation and policyholder protection. |
