The objective of FASS is to create an environment for students and newly qualified actuaries in Scotland to support their professional development and enhance their knowledge of current actuarial topics. FASS also creates extensive networking opportunities for our members. To achieve this FASS will provide our members with:

• Educational events providing skills and information at the appropriate levels for their professional development
• Events that allow them to meet and socialise in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere
• Representation at the Student Consultative Committee (SCC) meetings to ensure the collective views of FASS members are heard
• An avenue to liaise with other actuarial societies to ensure a breadth of coverage in Scotland and promoting the profession to University students.
